About MORE THAN A FEELING:

From the award-winning author of TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT comes the final story in her red-hot Rock Star Romance series, about a loner rocker finding his perfect duet.
When Cooper Hood left Snowberry, Montana ten years ago, he swore he’d never go back to the town that painted him with the same brush as his addict mother. But right in the middle of his band’s national tour he gets a call to come home: his mom’s got a whopper of a secret to reveal.
Daisy Charbonneau’s in trouble. The talent she hired for her resort’s annual Huckleberry Festival just bailed on her, and she’s desperate to find a replacement act. Luck turns her way when she discovers her high school crush is back in town—and he happens to be a rock star.
As they work together, a crush deepens into so much more, but who falls in love in two weeks?
Especially when Cooper’s never coming back to town, and Daisy’s never going to leave it.

 EXCERPT

Instead of clearing the table, she flicked a match across the striking plate. Bringing the flame to one pink candle, she watched the wick flare to life. Then she leaned into the faint heat source. Happy birthday to me.
When she closed her eyes to make a wish, Cooper appeared with his sexy and—can she say adoring?—smile. Yeah, that’s what his smile feels like.
Until he’d come to town, she’d thought she had a good life. She loved her work with the Blackstocks, loved her godfathers and her mom—even her dad. Yeah, he hurt her—a lot—but she knew in his own way he loved her. And, besides, he was the only father she had.
Maybe she’d just gotten complacent. Somewhere along the way she’d stopped hoping for more. More attention, more…love.
Spending time with Cooper, though, had shattered the complacency, allowing her decadent, delicious, passionate side to seep out of the cracks. To yearn for things she couldn’t yet name. And it wasn’t his rocker swagger or the lonely boy hidden in the depths of his eyes. It was them. Their sizzling connection. Cooper read her like no one else ever had. He looked out for her. He…excited her.
Of course he was leaving, so nothing would happen there. But maybe he’d opened her up to possibilities. After he left, she’d make it a point to date more. Join dating apps.
Please. She knew better. It was Cooper who roused her inner sex kitten.
Daisy blew out the candle.
Her mom sighed, and Daisy’s heart leapt with hope that she might’ve awakened from her nap. But she only rolled onto her side, drawing up her legs and clasping her hands under chin.
Plucking the candles out of the cake, she licked the whipped cream off the bottoms. Her mouth watered at the sight of all those juicy red strawberries. So she cut herself a thick slice and dropped it onto her great grandma’s china dessert plate. Grabbing her tote, she scanned the room one last time to make sure everything was all right and quietly shut the door behind her.
As she headed down the stairs she wondered what piece of jewelry her mom had found for her. Had she bought something at the farmer’s market? She’d have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
Adrenaline slammed her as she noticed the hulking figure of a man waiting at the base of the stairs. It took a moment to make sense of the breadth of those shoulders, the length of that dark hair and the black boot resting on the stair above. “Cooper?”
“Hey.” His deep, sexy voice burrowed under her skin and heated her blood.
“What’re you doing here?”
He didn’t say a word, just kept his gaze on her, capturing her in a thick, sultry web of attraction and intimacy.
If she swayed forward, she could press her mouth to his neck and breathe in the clean scent of his long-sleeve T-shirt and the subtle spice of his shaving cream.
He reached for a lock of her hair, wrapped it around two fingers, and rubbed. “Happy birthday.”
Pleasure rushed through her. “Oh.” The guys must’ve told him. “Thank you.”
But then she remembered the party in his cabin. Carrie on her back, her shirt gaping open. Did Cooper even remember rejecting Carrie that morning out of solidarity with her?
It didn’t matter. There was too much at stake to get caught up in figuring out a man who’d only be in town for two weeks. She started to move around him, but his hands caught her hips.
See, this was why she found him so confusing. He had a party going on his cabin, and yet here he was giving her that possessive grip that drove her wild. They were at eye level, so she got to see his handsome face up close.
“Have you had cake today?”
She lifted the dessert plate. “My mom made me a strawberry cream cake. I’ll have some with her tomorrow, but I couldn’t resist taking a slice.”
“You shouldn’t have a slice of anything. You deserve a whole damn birthday cake. With candles and everyone in town singing ‘Happy Birthday.’”
“Oh, come on. I’m too old for that.”
“No. You’re not.” He pulled a box of birthday candles from his back pocket. “Now all we need is a cake.”
“Where did you get those?”
He cracked a grin. “The Sugar Bowl. Now let’s see about that cake.”
“I’ve got this. We can share it on the ride back to the ranch.”
“You’re not sharing, Daisy. Not today.”
“Nothing’s open.”
He cocked his head. “Coulda sworn your mom owned a bakery.”
“You want to break into my mom’s bakery?”
“I don’t need to break in. The guys left it open for me. After they scrounged up the candles.”
Yeah, Daisy liked her life. She loved her family, her town, her job. But Cooper Hood opened up a whole other side of life she didn’t even know she’d been missing. He indulged her. He celebrated her.
And tonight she was going to bask in the center of his attention…and forget all about the party in his cabin.

REVIEW

The Blue Fire band urgently needs another indie band to open their show.
The band members need to solve this problem at the same time they want to enjoy their love life (Emmie and Slater, now have a baby; Derek and Violet, Mimi and Calix).
Cooper volunteers to solve the problem, but at the same time he gets the call from his ex-addicted mother's sponsor.
Cooper needed to travel to his hometown, Snowberry, Montana, and there he reconnects his former sweetheart, Daisy Charbonneau.

Daisy was involved in actions that would put her city on the map of major attractions and attract tourists from all over the world, the Huckleberry Festival.
But everything she had planned and all the money invested by the local merchants - including her mother, the owner of the bakery - could be lost because of a corrupt man. For the city not suffer, Daisy asks for help to the only guy she has ever loved and who left without ever saying goodbye, the sensation rocker of the moment and Grammy winner, Cooper Hood.

During those few days together, Could Cooper and Daisy guarantee that a crush of the past would become love forever and ever?

It is interesting to follow Cooper's trajectory in the city he never thought to return to.
When his mother wanted to contact him to finally tell who his real father was, Cooper was not interested in reconnecting with the man who never cared about him. But when Cooper discovers the truth, and with Daisy's support, he rethinks his actions and gives the past a chance.
In the meantime, the festival team starts discovering all the shenanigans for the event not to happen, and they need to join forces to win.

Interesting plot, good pace and a stubborn couple to connect.
